    Compared with ordinary flanges

    Compared with ordinary flat flanges, the main feature of fluted flanges is its groove. Ordinary flanges mainly rely on plane sealing. Gaskets are placed between flanges and fastened by bolts to deform the gaskets to achieve sealing effect. The grooved flange is to place the seal (such as rubber seal ring, etc.) in the groove, which makes the seal more stable and not easy to shift during installation and use.
    Two, sealing principle
    The seal with a grooved flange is achieved by fitting a suitable seal (usually an elastic seal ring) into the groove.
